Twenty Team Cure SMA runners completed the 2019 Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 18. Together, the runners successfully raised over $52,000 for Cure SMA, the most in the race’s history for Team Cure SMA.
The race celebrated its 47th annual run this year and brought more than 150 non-profit organizations together to raise money for charity. Runners charged their way through the scenic roads of Cape Cod. The Falmouth Road Race is an annual 7.0-mile road race from Woods Hole, a village in the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts, to Falmouth Heights.
This year’s Team Cure SMA roster included: Kimberly Barrett, Annelle Benson, Colin Beaumont, Molly Cox, Joe Bierwirth, William Bierwirth, Rachael Brown, Molly Cox, Katelin Fitzgerald, Mark Flaherty, Ashley Jackson, Siobhan Julia, Lin Mahoney Lavalle, Patrick Lavalle, Elizabeth Masterjohn, Regan McCooey, Tricia Michalovicz, Matt Pembroke, Patricia Pembroke, and Brian Riley.
Team Cure SMA is an endurance program designed to connect runners and cyclists with Cure SMA. Team Cure SMA athletes raise awareness, train, and fundraise for Cure SMA.
