Travel should be accessible for everyone but we know that is not often the case. With this in mind, Cure SMA is thrilled to launch some new travel related support programs to help make traveling with SMA easier!

We know traveling by air can be especially difficult for those with SMA who use mobility devices, as they are required to transfer out of their wheelchairs. In addition to the resources above, Cure SMA has also created a travel support package filled with recommended assistive travel equipment to help adults with SMA fly more safely and comfortably.

If you are interested in requesting a Travel Support Package, please fill out the provided request form. Applicants must have a confirmed SMA diagnosis, be 18 years of age or older and reside within the United States.
In addition to the resources above, Cure SMA will also host a Travel Webinar to provide an overview of the new travel package items, share a more in-depth discussion on the resource guides available, and also feature a panel of adults with SMA to share their travel tips and tricks.
