Cure SMA is excited to announce that we will reunite the SMA community in-person for the 2022 Annual SMA Conference in Anaheim, CA–Thursday, June 16 through Sunday, June 19, 2022.
If the unexpected circumstances surrounding the pandemic have shown us anything, it is how impactful this one week of the year is for individuals, families, researchers, and medical professionals in the SMA community. We cannot wait to welcome you back as we gather next June in California.
The Disneyland Hotel will be our host for the 2022 Annual SMA Conference and the SMA Research & Clinical Care Meeting. The hotel is located just steps away from the vibrant Downtown Disney district, as well as the Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks.
Cure SMA has been hosting the Conference since 1988—bringing together leading SMA researchers, clinicians, individuals with SMA, and their families. It is the largest conference in the world for people with SMA, and for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients. As with past conferences, the 2022 Conference will be filled with a wide variety of activities, including the following:
- Educational workshops.
- Keynote sessions with leading researchers and clinicians.
- Family-friendly poster session.
- Memorable children’s program.
- Meet and greet with a family fun fest.
- Teen and adult social activities.
- A family movie night.
- An evening in the theme park.
All these activities provide opportunities for individuals and families to connect and interact. They also receive first-hand updates from researchers and clinicians who are attending the SMA Research & Clinical Care Meeting, which allows the full SMA community to network, learn, and collaborate.
More details about the 2022 Annual SMA Conference and SMA Research & Clinical Care Meeting will be announced in the upcoming months, and registration will launch in the fall of 2021. We look forward to seeing you in Anaheim!
