Cure SMA recently received a donation of 14 special tomato feeder seats and 80 large sheepskin blankets from the Bugenske family. The feeder seats were immediately sent out, and helped Cure SMA fulfill the requests of each family on the equipment waiting list.
The donation of large sheepskin blankets helps fund a new support program, where Cure SMA is now able to offer these larger blankets to older children with SMA, and for those who have outgrown the one they received in their newly diagnosed care package.
Meredith and Adam Bugenske live in South Carolina, and started Leo’s Pride in honor of their 3-year-old son, Leo, who has SMA type I.
Thank you to the Bugenske family and Leo’s Pride donors, Cure SMA is incredibly grateful for your continued support.
Cure SMA Equipment Pool
Through our equipment pool, Cure SMA loans necessary medical equipment free of charge. In the past year we lent out nearly 300 pieces of equipment, thanks to the support of generous donors like the Bugenske family.
