On Wednesday, February 20th at 12pm CST (10am PST/11am MST/1pm EST) Cure SMA’s Policy and Advocacy team will hold a webinar to update the SMA community on the current advocacy priorities. Advocacy can be confusing and intimidating, but it is critical to making sure that policymakers hear the voice of the SMA Community. Topics covered will include:
- Newborn screening and the federal Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization Act
- How to be an effective advocate
- Tips on how to successfully navigate today’s political climate as an SMA advocate
The 60-minute webinar will also include a Q&A session at the end to answer your policy and advocacy questions. We encourage you to pre-submit your questions when you register, so that we can plan to answer as many of them as possible. We look forward to you joining us!
