Event Volunteers
Cure SMA is driven by the efforts of our local volunteers. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make connections, grow and utilize your skills, and make a meaningful difference for people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
Each year, Cure SMA hosts volunteer-driven events throughout the U.S., meaning there’s likely an event you can volunteer for in your area—and if not, you can start one!
Volunteer Opportunities
Local Chapters
Our chapter leaders are the volunteers who represent Cure SMA on the ground. These leaders support the mission of Cure SMA by providing a local network for individuals with SMA and their families and through organizing fundraising events for Cure SMA. Check to see if there is a Cure SMA Chapter in your area, or contact us at [email protected] and we can put you in touch with your local chapter leaders and help you get involved!
Fundraising Events
Event organizers and volunteers host events across the country such as Walk-n-Rolls, golf events, galas, etc. Our volunteers make each event a success! Volunteers also plan events or assist on event day.
